FREEDOM HEALTH ALERTS · DAILY INSTALL · NOVEMBER 2, 2026
Same doctor. right plan?: illustrative historical-to-modern poster.

Your Daily Install connects what’s happening now with a useful pattern from the past—and one simple step you can take today to make your household more resilient.

Print the worksheet below, fill it in, and add it to your Household Resilience Network binder.

What’s happening now?

You recognize the insurer’s name. You recognize the doctor’s name. That does not always mean those two belong together in the plan you are about to choose.

Marketplace Open Enrollment for 2027 coverage began yesterday, November 1. As plan comparisons open, check your doctor against the exact plan—not just the insurance company’s logo.

Today: make one office call with the full plan name in front of you.

Has this happened before?

When Marketplace coverage began in 2014, many people gained a new place to compare health plans. But a plan’s price was only part of the decision.

Plans could have different networks: the doctors and hospitals with which they contracted. A familiar insurer could offer more than one plan, with different lists of participating providers.

What happened next?

The marketplace made shopping possible, but it did not make every plan interchangeable. A household still needed to connect the plan to the care it wanted to use.

The pattern: match the exact option to your real need. Seeing a company name on an office door is a starting clue, not a complete answer about next year’s plan.

What can I do?

Spend 15 minutes on one doctor you want to keep. Write the full 2027 plan name and plan ID if available. Check the insurer’s provider directory for that doctor’s exact office location.

Call the doctor’s billing office. Ask, “Are you in network for this exact plan in 2027, at this location?” Then confirm the result with the plan. Record the date, person and answer.

If the answers disagree, get it resolved before enrolling. Network lists can change. Keep your notes and check again before care; do not cancel current coverage while a question is still open.
